The new series of books by artist Jiang Zhixin presents his selected works and recounts his life stories. His works portray the landscape of western China, especially the Loess Plateau, by transforming and modernizing the techniques of traditional Chinese ink painting. The collection includes an autobiography in which Jiang narrates his journey in becoming an artist from humble beginnings, and travel experiences that are a constant source of inspiration for his creations.
