Chen's porcelain works are famous for their traditional and innovative style. Her work National Beauty and Heavenly Fragrance is a vase engraved with the national flower, the peony, using techniques of embossed decoration, relief and openwork carving that make the works clean and bright with simple style.

Chen's excellent work was selected as the national gift for the BRICS Summit in Xiamen in 2017.
