BBC Symphony Orchestra to perform in Tianjin

The BBC Symphony Orchestra will perform in Tianjin on July 2 at the Tianjin Grand Theater with conductor Andrew Davies, virtuoso pianist Pavel Kolesnikov and mezzo-soprano Catherine Wyn-Rogers.

The performance will include Piano Concerto No. 1 in B flat minor by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky; Enigma Variations by Edward Elgar and four Chinese Folk songs for orchestra arranged by Huang Ruo, including Flower Drum Song from Feng Yang, Love Song from Kang Ding, Little Blue Flower and The Girl from the Da Ban City.

Meanwhile, the Tianjin Grand Theater will broadcast the concert live.

The performance in Tianjin is part of the orchestra’s 6-city tour of China, and includes concerts in Beijing and Shanghai.
