To date in Peru —apart from 4 Confucius Institutes and 4 Chinese schools— there are 11 educational institutions, such as primary schools, secondary schools and universities (from Iquitos in the Amazon rainforest to Marcona in the northern Pacific) where Chinese language teaching centers have been established and more than 20,000 Peruvian students are studying this millenary language all over the country.
