A concert with a theme of the ancient civilizations along the Silk Road was staged on Sunday at the National Center for the Performing Arts to mark the second anniversary of the establishment of the Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce.
The concert, titled Silk Road Melodies of Harmony, was performed by the plucked instrument orchestra and the symphony orchestra from the Central Conservatory of Music.
Students and teachers from the conservatory treated the audience with songs featuring elements of traditional culture and customs from regions along the ancient Silk Road, including Chinese folk songs Camel Tinkling Bells and Spring of Tianshan Mountains.
