Film The Lego Batman Movie, a 3-D animation comedy, will debut on the Chinese mainland on March 3.

With all the characters "played" by Lego toys, the film is the unlikely story of Bruce Wayne, who not only fights the villains of Gotham City but also takes on the responsibility of an adopted boy.

A preview held in Beijing on Wednesday suggested Chinese fans of the superhero are keenly awaiting the film. It was released in the United States on Feb 10.
