As Chinese Lunar New Year draws near, a busy yet happy period of grabbing red packets on smart phones is coming too. The 2015 Spring Festival marked the coming of digital red packets on WeChat.
Chinese people start their preparations for the Spring Festival more than 20 days early. The 12th lunar month in Chinese is called la yue, so the eighth day of this lunar month is la yue chu ba, or laba.
The year 2018 marks Chinese "Wu Xu Year", the Year of the Dog. In fact, not only zodiac stamps, elements of Chinese New Year can be found in many forms of Chinese folk arts.
