Peng and her guests also experienced Beijing’s traditional culture when they watched a stage performance of “Ancient capital of nine rhymes” in the Capital museum. The guests looked fascinated with Peking opera. A portion of the show featuring a group of children drew warm applause from the ladies. After the performance, Peng invited the guests near the stage to show them traditional opera skills, such as face painting and hair setting. Peng also interpreted the relevant cultural codes for the guests.
