Shen Leping, the CEO of Hangzhou Sparkly Key Animation Studio, discussed the major achievements of The Legend of Qin and analyzed the current situation of the Chinese animation industry from the perspective of a professional. The production of the film The Legend of Qin was six years in the making and cost 40 million yuan. The film was released in 4,040 theaters in 336 cities in China on Aug 8, 2014 and won 13.2 million yuan at the box office on its premiere day. China's first 3D martial animation series, The Legend of Qin, has received credit from the relevant state departments, industry artists, and the media since its first debut in 2007. (Note: Please double check my changes didn’t change the meaning of the sentence.)It won more than 100 major awards at home and abroad, including the top 10 animation television series award by the State Administration of Radio. It was also nominated as Asia's best work at the 2011 Cannes Television Festival and was selected to be on the list of the Best Global Collections of 2010 American Autodesk, along with Avatar and Transformers. Hangzhou Sparkly Key Animation Studio is being called by Japanese media as "China's most potential original animation company".
