China's Ghost Festival

The Zhongyuan Festival, also known as Ullambana Festival among Buddhists, usually falls on the 15th day of the seventh lunar month, around End of Heat. The various folk customs of the Zhongyuan Festival include floating water lanterns and burning paper "money". Another custom is for a grandmother or uncle to send a live goat to his grandson or nephew, which is called "sending goat".
