Art fairs are no longer only an occasion for selling and communications for galleries, artists, collectors and curators. In Beijing an art expo aims to integrate deeply into the life of ordinary visitors who have little knowledge of contemporary art but who are curious to know about the varying aspects of art.

The second edition of Beijing Contemporary Art Expo, running from Sept 29 to 31 at the National Agricultural Exhibition Center, will provide one such celebration of art and life, gathering dozens of galleries and artists primarily based in the capital.
