People the world over marvel at the speed of Chinese construction. The purpose built high-tech 1,500 square meter building housing this tribute to Leonardo da Vinci proves the point; it was constructed in a mere 12 days by 168 workers with 143 tons of steel. If Leonardo were here he'd certainly be flashing that Mona Lisa smile at the building's construction, not to mention its contents.
While works in the exhibition are reproductions, this does not take away from their value. At worst, they will spur visitors to make a pilgrimage to the venues where Leonardo's original works are found.
