With musicians from India, Nepal, Thailand, China and Singapore, the album brings sounds of instruments such as the Indian veena, Chinese guqin, bamboo flute, and Western instruments, such as cello, as well as electronic music.
Having forged a passion for ancient Chinese culture, Ye spent many years trying to bring it together with modern music. In 2003, he founded his label, Rhymoi Music, designated to tap the unique charm of traditional culture and present it in Chinese style of modern music. So far the label has released nearly 60 albums.
