"People from across the Straits are of the same cultural origin and traditional festivals are the cultural heritage shared by all of us. It's such a delight to see so many teens and children accompanied by their parents take part in this event and show their talents. It is up to the younger generation to promote the education of traditional culture so that it can be handed down from age to age," said Deng Ping, director of the Taiwan Traditional Culture Promotion Council.
Zhen Wei, head of the Fujian Hanfu Society, said that his group has been committed to holding various cultural activities to show the original flavor of traditional festivals.
In doing so, they want to showcase the fine qualities behind traditional culture. In addition, by organizing a cultural activity as the Flower Festival, they hope to help the public learn more about this ancient festival that has been ignored for a long time.
