After the concert, Mao and Chen expressed their heartfelt thanks to all the artists. Mao said with excitement the orchestra is China's state cultural brand and the concert epitomized the successful fusion of the traditional and the modern. Later, Chen fondly recalled another orchestra concert, staged at the Berlin Philharmonie Hall in 1999 and also conducted by Chen Xieyang.

Prior to this concert, the orchestra completed three concerts in Switzerland and Austria, and on Feb 1, they would put on their last performance in Germany's Bamberg to wrap up their European tour.
