Photo exhibition in Beijing shows autistic children's creativity

"We chose children under the age of 14 this year since we found from last year's experience that people of the same age find it easier to communicate with each other," Feng Yuxi, initiator of the TPP, said at the opening of the exhibition on Sunday.

"Because it's all about communication."

Autism causes difficulties in social interaction and communication. Statistics from the World Health Organization show that autism affects some one percent of the world's population. In China, more than 100 million people have been diagnosed with the disorder, with over 2 million aged under 14, according to a 2015 survey.
