At the panel meeting titled "Traditional Cultural Heritages and Creative Economy", the Chinese delegation expounded the belief of utilizing traditional cultural heritages to develop a creative culture industry on the basis of heritage preservation, explaining the present practice in that belief.
During the meeting, Ding met Kim Jongdeok, Korea’s minister of culture, sports and tourism, Glinski, Poland’s vice prime minister and minister of culture and national heritages, Balthus, Greece’s minister of culture, and Vira, Thailand’s minister of culture. The ministers exchanged ideas on how to deepen cultural communication and collaboration.
Zhai Deyu, the vice-director of the Bureau for External Cultural Relations in China’s Culture Ministry, accompanied Ding at the meeting.
