A new Chinese version of www.chinaculture.org was launched in Beijing today.

Xie Jinying, director of the Bureau for External Cultural Relations of the Ministry of Culture, Chen Fafen, deputy-director of the Bureau for External Cultural Relations, Yu Peng, director of the Center of International Cultural Exchanges and other officials and representatives from related organizations attended the launch ceremony.

Xie says the new Chinese version aims to create a comprehensive information platform for the cultural exchange between China and other nations.

The newly updated website will integrate the three other websites that independently specialize in sharing cultural exchange information.

And the new Chinese version will work together with its English counterpart under the same title and domain name.

Simpler and more fashionable, the new logo and style of the website were designed using contemporary aesthetics.

The website and its WeChat account also will get a strengthened connection.

The new edition pays more attention to the authority and timeliness of the information. It will provide a closer relation and interaction with the embassies, China Cultural Centers, regional cultural institutions, central and local media, and network media.

The columns will include China Cultural Centers, "Happy Chinese New Year", the Center of International Cultural Exchanges and the China Friendship Association of Cultural Circles.
