Huaxia Silk Museum was officially inaugurated and opened its doors for free for locals in Fuyang city of East China's Anhui province on Tuesday.
It is the first private funded of its kind in the province. The exhibition hall covers an area of nearly 5,000 square meters, showcasing more than 600 items that highlight the silk culture, including weaving machine, pictures of weaving process and silkworm rearing.
The museum is a great resource to learn about the Chinese silk culture, according to Fuyang culture relics bureau.
