A Chinese-Russian exhibition of paintings and graphics featuring winter landscapes opened on Tuesday in the Russian port city of Vladivostok.
As many as 56 works of 36 artists from China and Russia are on display at the Vladivostok's State University of Economics and Service gallery.
A total of 40 works of Chinese painters are shown at the four-day exhibition, titled Amid the Snow and Winter.
"Here we have the winter landscapes of North-East Asia, scenery of Siberia, the Greater Khingan Range, views of snow-covered Vladivostok," Yu Zhixue, a Chinese artist and creator of the "Ice and Snow" unique style of Chinese scenery painting said.
"I hope, local art lovers and all city dwellers would appreciate this exhibit," Yu said.
This collaborative art project of Chinese and Russian artists started few years ago. Its several exhibits were on display in various cities of both countries.
"An exhibition totally dedicated to winter scenery is set in Vladivostok for the first time, and it is wonderful," prominent Vladivostok's artist Ilya Butusov said at the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
