Celebration of Children's Day in Pulai Primary School, Malaysia
SJK C Pulai Primary School in Johor Bahru, Malaysia held an annual celebration of Children’s Day for the students at the auditorium, according to Sing Tao Daily. The celebration included many wonderful performances for children to display their talents, such as taekwondo, singing and instrumental performances.
Yang Xiulian, headmistress of the school, delivered a welcoming address at the celebration. She shared knowledge of improving oneself with the students, for example, the importance of improving one’s character, knowledge, or manners.
Yang said that it is of vital importance for a person to improve themselves, especially by receiving education, which is also the best way to achieve self-improvement. She hoped the students would stay open-minded and kind in the most important stages of life-learning.
Professor Li Qiuting, vice president of the school’s parent-teacher association, also expressed his hope that in an era filled with challenges, that students would remain hopeful and strict with themselves, so as to lead the country to progress and prosperity as the new generation.
On the same day, the school distributed dictionaries donated by an enthusiast named Lin to 30 poorer students.
At the end of the celebration, warmhearted parents prepared a big meal for the students, and all guests were invited to the class tea party to celebrate the day with the students.
