During the Qingming festival the Zhanjian table tennis club from Hubei province took participated in the fourth Singapore Junior and Hopes Invitational Table Tennis Tournament.

Players from the club won the first and second place in the men’s group ages 13 and under. Sun Haitao won third place in men’s singles 13 and under, and Tao Zhechong won fifth. Xiaohe won the award for “best fight”.

The tournament attracted more than 190 players from nearly 10 table tennis associations, including Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea and Vietnam. Sun Haitao, who won third place in men’s singles, said by competing with athletes from different places he not only made progress in his playing but also boosted his confidence, which will lay a solid foundation for the future.
