The hosts of the Jiangsu 2019 children’s gala take to the stage, Feb 12, 2019.

Every year, the Spring Festival gala offers so much fun for Chinese people. On Feb 12, the 2019 Jiangsu Children's Gala and Foreign Special Show was broadcasted on a Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation education channel. More than 400 young actors from home and abroad expressed their wishes for the New Year in colorful performances.

Compared with the wide-ranging Spring Festival galas, the children's gala is specially developed for youngsters. From the hosts to the wonderful performances, children are the main participants. The event kicked off with lively music, and a dance about the Belt and Road Initiative that quickly ignited the atmosphere. Performed by cute children, the beautiful vocal music, sonorous music poetry recitation, childlike robot dance and the impressive English language play showed the confidence of children in the new era and won bursts of applause and cheers.

Many cultural elements of traditional Chinese and foreign festivals were integrated into the performances. The song, New Year's Picture Doll, won the praise of the audience with the sweet appearance of small performers and their professional level of singing. Kung Fu Kids Celebrate the New Year surprised the audience when young actors played magically and amazingly. The Malaysian children's exceptional performance of traditional dances, Gamelan Sari, Sinara and Cindai attracted the audience’s attention.

The gala not only presented a cultural feast for the general audience, but set up a platform for Chinese and foreign children who love performing, giving the audience cultural and artistic atmosphere.

In the chorus Singing of the Motherland, the 2019 Jiangsu Children's Gala and Foreign Special Show came to a successful conclusion.

"Their performance was so wonderful, so good," a 9-year-old named Luzheng said. He said he has been learning street dances and he hopes he will have chance to perform on stage next time.
