Xu Youbin, a famous writer of children's literature, held a lively and interesting lecture about literature in Qingdao Experimental Primary School on Nov 10.

Xu was introduced by the host, exciting the students, who knew they would soon meet their favorite writer. Later, he dressed in a red scarf — the signature garment of the Young Pioneers.

Xu communicated with the students passionately, standing in the front of the hall instead of sitting in a chair. He made it clear writing is not that difficult by using a few philosophical but humorous examples and emphasized students should not only read more, but practice more. He also explained his writing skills and inspired students' independent thinking. This impressed the audience greatly.
