China-Vietnam diplomatic ties celebrated with a culture contest
WACCCE 2016-06-09
A contest was held at the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam on June 8 to celebrate the 66th anniversary of China-Vietnam diplomatic ties. Among the attendees were Cultural Counsellor Tian Shanting, leaders of Chinese schools and Chinese students studying in Vietnam.
Twelve teams competed in the contest that focused on the history and culture of the two countries. In the finals, six teams were pitted against each other, answering questions about culture, history and geography. The Chinese students were asked to give their answer in Vietnamese, while the Vietnamese students had to speak Chinese. The competition is designed to help students learn more about Chinese and Vietnamese culture and history and, more importantly, continue the friendship between the two countries.
