China-Myanmar People's Livelihood Fund launched
building according to Myanmar's customs.
The China-Myanmar People's Livelihood Fund, launched by China Soong Ching Ling Foundation and Yunnan Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture People's Government, held the launching ceremony of a program to aid Myanmar's Mu Se region in Ruili, Yunnan, on September 1, 2016. The fund also held a foundation stone laying ceremony for a teaching building of a primary school in Mu Se.
After the launching of the program, a teaching building of the primary school and two grassroot health centers would be built in Mu Se, to improve the fundamental education and medical care condition of Myanmar people in the China-Myanmar border area.
Kong Legan, Vice Governor of Dehong, said Dehong would deepen the people-to-people exchanges and cooperation with Myanmar, as well as promote livelihood programs in the border area under the support of CSCLF. An official from Myanmar expressed the gratitude of China's aid.
After the launching ceremony, delegates from two sides went to Mu Se to attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of the teaching building. They held the ceremony according to Myanmar's customs.
