The China Culture Center in Thailand offered a series of cultural programs to college students from 20 universities, as part of the 2016 International Youth Cultural Exchange event.

Chinese teachers presented the basics of calligraphy, history and the cultural legacy of the ancient musical instrument Guqin during the program held at Bangkok Thonburi University on Sept 21. They encouraged students to play the instrument, while answering many of their questions.

The event was well received, offering an opportunity for local students to see, learn and experience the beauty of Chinese calligraphy and music. Many students suggested more such events would give them a better understanding of Chinese culture.
