The first Silk Road International Arts Festival was held in Xi’an, capital of northwest China’s Shaanxi province, from Sept 12, 2014.
Mugur Zlotea, Romanian, is a Chinese teacher at the University of Bucharest, whose research topic focuses on the value of traditional Chinese culture in modern society.
Stephan Christ, German, is a sinologist at Hamburger University, whose research topic focuses on Confucianism in the 21st century. He also has rich experience in translating dramatic literature and has earned high academic achievement in this regard.
The second session of "2014 Visiting Program for Young Sinologists" opened in Beijing in September. Thirty-eight excellent young sinologists from 25 countries such as the US, Russia, the UK, Egypt, India and South Korea were invited to this session. During the program, sinologists went to Ming Tombs and the Juyong Pass of the Great Wall to experience Chinese culture and landscape.
