Lingguang Pagoda

Lingguang Pagoda, built in the Bohai Period (698-926) in the Tang Dynasty, is situated on a plat ground southwest of Tashan Mountain in the northwestern suburb of Changbai County, Jilin province. It is the oldest pagoda in the northeastern region and is a representative of a historical treasure from the Bohai Kingdom. Lingguang Pagoda is a 13-meter-high square pagoda made of brick whose base is rectangular and has five stories. The pagoda overlooks Yalu River and is of great historical value in studying culture and architecture from the Bohai Period.
