In order to deepen people’s understanding and recognition of the current situation of China in countries that have not established diplomatic relations with China, and to strive for further development of relations, CICA has carried out cultural exchanges with those countries since 2014.

In February 2014, CICA sent an acrobatic troupe from Guangxi to visit Bhutan and India and actively develop friendship with Bhutan’s royal family and senior officials on behalf of China. In September of the same year, with an invitation from the two countries, CICA sent a Henan Shaolin martial arts performance group to visit India and Bhutan again. In 2014, 2016 and 2017, CICA organized art troupes to Panama, Dominica, Belize and other non-diplomatic countries for performing. The Choir of the University of Panama was invited to perform in China in 2015 and the Haitian National Art Troupe came to China in 2017. At the same time, cultural volunteers were sent to Panama and the Dominican Republic to perform as well.
