“Happy Chinese New Year-Charming Beijing Tianjin Hebei”, an activity celebrating Chinese Spring Festival, was held at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills in Los Angeles on Feb 10, 2018.

The event was sponsored by the China International Culture Association, Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei Associations for Foreign Cultural Exchange and the Beverly City Conference and Tourism Bureau of the United States.

Nearly 2,000 people attended the activity, watching acrobatics, magic, singing and dancing performances and ICH exhibitions by artists from Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.

Zhang Ping, Chinese consul general in Los Angeles, said the display of Chinese culture and art with regional characteristics by Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei artists would promote Sino-US cultural exchanges and deepen mutual understanding and friendship between peoples of the two countries.

The mayor of Beverly said the celebration of the Spring Festival not only brings joy to the people of Beverly, but also provides a good opportunity to strengthen ties with China and cultural integration of all ethnic groups.
