The Portuguese modern art exhibition A Possible Breeze Whispers kicked off on Nov 1, 2017, at the Beijing Minsheng Art Museum. It is considered one of the most important events under the framework of the cooperation agreement between China International Culture Association and the Fundação Oriente in Portugal.

The exhibition showcased 41 works by five artists recommended by the foundation, giving Beijing residents a chance to appreciate modern European art. From realistic to abstract, the creative styles of the five artists were all fresh, bright and reflective of a sense of humor. Despite differences, their works all expressed emotions through the canvas, showing their understanding of the relationship between humans and nature.

From 1998, CICA has continuously signed four cooperative agreements with the Fundação Oriente to further strengthen friendly relations with the foundation, and to enhance cultural exchanges between the two countries. According to the agreements, a series of cultural exchange activities will be held, including sending delegations and performing groups, and opening exhibitions in each other’s countries. The joint efforts have played an important role in promoting good ties between the two countries.
