The New South Wales Confucius Institute is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its founding and Mosman High School in Sydney, Australia as part of the Confucius Classroom schools celebrated on September 16 with a Chinese Culture Day.

Kung Fu Master from Wudang gave the students a presentation and some basic Kung Fu moves were taught in groups. Meanwhile, workshops of calligraphy, traditional painting, paper cutting and Ceramic Micro Writing were also held in other classrooms around the school.

The day involved several programs for all Year 8 students as well as students studying Chinese as an elective in Year 7 to Year 11.

The event was also supported by the Chinese Culture Centre in Sydney.

Mosman High School Principal Susan Wyatt said the event is helpful to the students who are interested in Chinese Culture and language.

"Learning languages opens up the world. For students to be able to speak Chinese, to understand the language and to appreciate the Culture, the benefit to the young Australian generation is just amazing," she said.
