Since the founding of People’s Republic of China, more than 200 heads of state and leaders, including UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Queen Elizabeth II, former French President Jacques Chirac, Sarkozy, Russian President Vladimir Putin, the King and Queen of Belgium, King and Queen of Spain, the King and Queen of Sweden, former Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien, have visited Xi'an.
