Chinese New Year in Singapore has been a happening event in recent years. Besides the brightly-decorated and colourful Chinatown, the annual River HongBao festival returned this year with daily fireworks during the CNY period for 11 continuous days. The annual Chingay Festival, organized to celebrate Chinese New Year, returned with more fiesta this year. Besides the usual fireworks and multi-racial performers, the organisers brought the Chingay processions all the way to the River Hongbao in Marina Bay. The more traditional folks did not forget to visit the temples for prayers, wishing themselves and families good health, wealth and luck in the Year of the Dog. [Photo by Wong Chek Poh]
