The second and third floors of the pagoda, built completely of timber, are under renovation, but its first floor is still open to visit. The pagoda was constructed in 1056 during the Liao Dynasty. Standing 67.31 meters high, it is the only surviving large wooden pagoda in China and also the tallest among ancient wooden buildings in the world. [Photo/China News Service]
