"Our university will help to engage more people who are interested in Chinese culture in film and TV translation and dubbing. And during this event, BLCU will launch the 'Global Platform of Sino-Foreign Audiovisual Translation and Dubbing'," Qi added.
Liao said CUC is the first university to open courses on audiovisual translation and dubbing in 2003 in China. During this 10-day event, CUC also will hold a workshop on sharing teaching methods of audiovisual translation and dubbing.
Nussipzhanov Yertay, a film and TV producer from Kazakhstan, expressed his expectation for this workshop. Delegations from other countries introduced themselves and noted the Chinese films and TV series that they like. And they also noted that Chinese films and TV are very popular in their countries.
The 1st SFATD was held in Shanghai in June 2015. This year, the workshop will engage more participants and have more activities.
