The festival, held Friday through Monday in Chengde in North China’s Hebei province, attracted 15,000 tourists from home and abroad. The wedding ceremony was an integral part of the festival.
The couples wore accessories and hair ornaments to complement ceremonial dress in "upper-yi-and-lower-shang" style. They paid the highest respect by kowtowing to the God and just like the ancient Chinese, marked the occasion with a prayer for a happy and lifelong marriage.
