A joint statement to set up a China Cultural Center in Israel was issued by the two parties on March 29.

Vice Minister of Chinese Ministry of Culture Ding Wei and Director-General of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dore Gold signed the agreement. It was witnessed by Vice Premiere of the Chinese State Council Liu Yandong and Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Liu spoke highly of the extensive achievement on cultural exchanges between the two sides over the past years and suggested enhanced cooperation and exchanges in creative industries. More cultural events are expected to mark the 25th anniversary of Israel-Sino ties in the coming year.
