"The Symphony of Civilization" China-Egypt culture salon was held in the National Museum on March 22, 2016.

2016 is the 60th anniversary of the two countries' establishing bilateral diplomatic relations, so China and Egypt will hold a series of cultural events to mark the China-Egypt cultural year.

The culture salon will not only help enhance the two peoples’ mutual understanding through cultural exchanges, but also offer a communication platform for the two countries' cooperation in the Belt and Road initiative. During the salon, representatives discussed topics including diplomatic policy, language, academics and even the film industry.

"I hope we can work together and promote the bilateral cultural exchanges between China and Egypt," said one of the representatives.

"The Symphony of Civilization" will have a country or area as its theme each year, inviting experts and students to join in. With rich dialogue and communication, the culture salon will broaden the cultural bridge between China and the rest of the World.
