The National Museum of China is displaying some of the antiques that have been added to its collection since the beginning of the 21st century.
On show include bronzewares of the Shang Dynasty (c.16th century-11th century BC), paintings of the Song Dynasty (960-1279) and Buddhist figurines, among many other categories of antiquity.
They, however, account for a small percentage of some 400,000 treasures acquired through donation or purchased from private collectors. Some of them were stolen and later recovered from overseas.
The exhibition runs through March 10.
