Q: What benefits will be brought to the countries' cultural exchanges by the implementation of China's Belt and Road Initiative?

A: The Georgian government, the highest political level, puts the highest priority on participating in the new Silk Road project that was initiated by the President of the People's Republic of China, his Excellency Xi Jinping. And I am sure it will promote the revival of the ancient Silk Road. I believe the Silk Road revitalization will inevitably contribute a lot to the intensification of our relationship in the cultural field. There is an online project initiated by UNESCO called the Silk Road online platform, the platform was created to facilitate the people-to-people relationship. I am sure this Belt and Road initiative will for sure enhance cultural ties between the two countries.

Q: Georgia has a beautiful natural landscape and rich historical heritage. It is also the birthplace of former Soviet Union leader Joseph Stalin. Are there any specific measures to attract more Chinese tourists to the country?

A: A lot of different Georgian museums preserve a lot of unique cultural relics of Chinese origin, so I believe this will bring up a lot of interest in Chinese tourists. The Stalin museum is obviously one of the highlights of the tourist groups that are coming in from China, but besides that, it is known worldwide that Georgia's cultural heritage is one of the richest in the world, I do believe that through creating the cultural routes based on the cultural heritage we have, cultural tourism based on the big annual events, art events that are held in Georgia, we can attract more Chinese tourists.
