To celebrate the 25th anniversary of McDonalds in China, the company is presenting the Magic McDonalds Toys show at the Super Grand Mall in Shanghai till Nov 1.
The free show features some 2,530 McDonalds’ popular toys such as the Hello Kitty since the fast-food giant started selling toys with food in 1979. The visitors also can see the “food transformers”, a toy developed specially for the first McDonalds stores in China in 1990. The show also broadcasts videos with the stories of six Chinese McDonald’s toy collectors.
McDonalds’ Jing’an Store in Shanghai has become the fourth store in China where customers can create their own hamburgers. China is the sixth market where McDonalds has launched “Create Your Taste” on its specially designed “burger bar”, after introducing the concept in the US, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Kuwait.
In 2016, more stores in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen will open the “burger bar”. McDonalds opened its first Chinese store in Shenzhen in October 1990. Today it has more than 2,000 restaurants in 26 provinces.
