The Land Is So Pretty
is a carefully curated exhibition to show representative works of the New Jinling Painting School of Jiangsu province.A selection of 65 high-quality ink paintings from the collection of Jiangsu Art Museum are displayed, centering around the evolution of the painting school. They were created by modern masters of Chinese painting and the school's founding members, including Fu Baoshi, Qian Songyue and Ya Ming.
Jiangsu boasts a long-standing art tradition and is the birthplace of the Jinling Painting School which dates to the late Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Member painters emphasized a meticulous depiction of landscapes to create a distinguished style.
