The south district of the Taipei Palace Museum is located in Taibao City, Chiayi County in Southeast China's Taiwan. According to the plan, a museum of Asian art and culture will be built on the base of more than 70 hectares. Feng regarded this as a gift to celebrate the 90th anniversary of establishment of the Palace Museum. Currently the Taipei museum has prepared 10 exhibitions for its new branch, including those on Asian Buddhist art, Asian tea culture and Islamic jade wares.

The Taipei Palace Museum's main district will also be expanded. Its development program was inspired by the Beijing Palace Museum's north district, including the planning of the digital display area and cultural & creative center, Feng said.
