The China Cultural Center in Malta held a photographic exhibition and lecture about the Silk Road on July 8. The historical road was an ancient trade route that linked ancient China with the West.

The focus of the exhibition was the people and culture of Gansu, a province of northwest China, and 30 exquisite photos were shown in the exhibition. In the lecture, diversified Chinese traditional arts were presented, including the history of Dunhuang, grotto art, and other cultural exchanges.

The cultural event aimed to promote "One Belt ,One Road" initiative and to enhance China-Malta ties.
