Participants also drew Poland-related symbols such as the national flower, birds or emblems onto their T-shirts, caps or bags as souvenirs or color handmade kites at the booths.

Renee Ren, event specialist of the Young Cultural Ambassadors program, believed that it was an invaluable experience for children to know more about the western world. "When they drew white-tailed eagles on their T-shirts, I would tell them white-tailed eagles, the national birds of Poland, mark the long history and splendid culture of Poland," said Ren.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Sino-EU diplomatic relations, a delegation from the European Union to China and participating embassies of EU member states in Beijing are holding a series of events called "EU Open Days for Young People".

Chinese students and foreigners are invited to EU embassies to take part in a variety of events such as watching movies, tasting western food and attending lectures between April and this month.
