Most of the city walls were dismantled in the 1970s, with only east side gate still standing. Despite that, the basic pattern of Sanjiang village remains unchanged like the old times, still retaining "nine bridges, nine temples, 13 lanes, 72 wells". [Photo by Li Ruichang/asianewsphoto]
