Nubash sold Thangka paintings to Buddhist monasteries and museums in China. While the buyers of thangka used to be temples and Buddhists in Qinghai and Tibet, today nouveau riches throughout China compete to purchase the art.

According to him, people are increasingly buying Thangkas for collection, decoration, meditation, and souvenirs.
