The five-day 11th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) closed on May 18 with a gross turnover of 264.82 billion yuan ($42.69 billion), 13.90 percent more than last year.

With the principle of "Internationalization, Professionalism, Market Orientation, Excellence Orientation and Standardization", the event witnessed a total of 18,542 exhibitors from over 97 countries and regions and more than 5,200 thousand visitors.

There were nine specialized exhibition halls in the main venue, including halls spotlighting cultural industries, creative design and living, movies, television and animation games, press and publication, the Silk Road, art, intangible cultural heritage, cultural tourism and arts and crafts.

One highlight is that the fair, in accordance with the "One Belt One Road" initiative, set two special venues for the first time with the themes of "maker culture" and "Silk Road".

As the only national, internationalized and integrated cultural industries fair in China, ICIF focuses on exhibition and exchange and is committed to building a trade platform for China’s cultural industry products and projects,driving the development of China’s cultural industries and actively advancing the globalization of Chinese cultural products.
